Upcoming Central Monitoring Station Upgrade

Tuesday, October 27th

Read below for information regarding our upcoming Central Station Upgrade

Who is this affecting?

ALL M&P Monitored Alarm Customers - Monitored Intrusion Alarm, Monitored Fire Alarm, Monitored Pull Cords. If you are unsure, please contact us to confirm.

Where is this taking place?

For the vast majority of customers, all changes will be implemented remotely with no on-site intervention needed. For certain customers that are using legacy phone lines (POTS Lines) for alarm system communication, we will contact you to schedule a site visit to reprogram your panel. Customers using any combination of IP and Cellular communication will not require a site visit.

When is this happening?

This upgrade is currently scheduled to take place on Tuesday, October 27th. If the date changes for any reason, we will update this page with the new schedule.

Why is this happening?

Rapid Response is an industry leader in this space, and has a variety of excellent features that will elevate the customer experience.

What do I need to do?

Not much! We will be working with Rapid Response to ensure a smooth transition and verify that signals are getting to the new central station.

The most important thing you need to do is add the Rapid Response phone number to your phone/trusted contacts. Rapid Response will always contact you with the same phone number regardless if they contact you via phone or text message. This is also the same number you will use to call the monitoring station to place your account on test. Don't forget to add this phone number to your Do-Not-Disturb bypass if you want your phone to ring regardless if it set on DND or not.

Rapid Response Central Station Phone Number: 833-865-5038

If your account will be on a different transition schedule and/or we need to schedule a site visit before this can happen, we will reach out to you individually to schedule this.

What will change?

All of your emergency contacts and verbal passwords will remain the same.

Account numbers will be updated, please reference your next invoice to see your new account number.

Enhanced Text Alerts: For system troubles and alarms, you'll receive a text message with a link to take action; whether that is to disregard the alarm, or request service. You can expect to receive a welcome text to notify you that you're enrolled in enhanced text alerts. Prefer not to get texts? Simply reply STOP to opt out.

Alarm System Permit Reminder

It is the responsibility of the customer to obtain and maintain their alarm system permit from their local jurisdiction (if required). Not sure if you have or need a permit? Contact your local municipal office to find out more. These are typically inexpensive, and can help prevent large fines on false alarms.
